Founded in 1900 by the brothers John and Horace, the Dodge Brothers Company began its life as a parts and assemblies supplier to the infant car industry in Detroit at the turn of the century. It began to sell cars under its own name in 1914, trucks in 1920, and was sold to Chrysler just before the Great Depression in 1928.

Of course, Chrysler is now controlled by the Fiat Group of Italy so the future of one or more of the above models, indeed of Dodge itself, remains unclear.
